Ballots from the June 2 Primary Election are still being counted. As of late Monday, over 22,300 ballots have been counted. Voter turnout is 23.5%.
In the race for Board of Supervisors District 1 Enrique "Kiki" Alvarado has 1,878 or 49.34% of the votes. Jesus Eduardo Escobar has 1,050 votes, that's 27.9%. Joong Kim has 878 votes.
County Superior District 5 has John Hawk with 1,639 votes. That's 41.68%. Patricia Lizarraga has 30.54% with 1,201. and Lorena Minor-Montes has 1,092.
Assessor Robert Menvielle leads challenger Ricardo Avila 10,682 to 10,177 votes.
Imperial Irrigation District Division 1 shows Alex Cardenas leading Carlos Duran 2,723 to 1,325 votes.
Imperial Irrigation District Division 5 shows Karin Eugenio with 2,941, 60.74 % of the votes to Eric Rodriguez' 1,901.
Ben Salorio leads in the race for Superior Court Judge Seat 1 with 11,059 votes to Veronica Hendersons 9,838.
Candidates must garner 50% plus 1 vote to avoid a November runoff.
According to the Imperial County Registrar of Voters 100% of the presents have reported. The tally continues with updates expected late afternoons until completed and certified.
