(The City of Imperial is under a moratorium)....It is a 45 day moratorium on Data Centers.

City staff requested the 45 day moratorium to allow them to study and learn more about Data Centers, The ins and outs, the pros and cons, what they consist of and what they require to operate, etc. They said the knowledge will enable them to discuss issues in an informed way to better benefit the city. The City Council approved the request. The Cities of Calipatria and Brawley are seeking moratoriums of a year to five years.
