(County Board of Supervisors explain an incident)..The incident occurred during the Tuesday Board meeting.

A controversial Public Hearing was underway when an individual became disruptive. The behavior escalated and the intervention of deputies was required. The individual was subsequently arrested and booked into county jail on charges of disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and making criminal threats. In their statement the Board of Supervisors said the safety of the public, staff and elected officials remains a top priority. They said Imperial County is committed to maintaining a respectful and orderly environment at all public meetings to ensure that all participants have the opportunity to be heard. The arrested individual was not identified.
