The funds are to advance mass transit systems, expand pedestrian and bicycle options and improve freight movement. Imperiual County is receiving some of those funds. $5.3 million will go towards highways 115, 86 and 111 to repair and add new sidewalks, upgrade Transportation Management System elements, add bike lanes, rehabilitate lighting and crosswalks, and upgrade facilities to Americans with Disabilities Act standards. $231,000 will go to rehabilitate Gillet Road, from East Main Street/Evan Hewes to Cooley Road with the installation of new asphalt concrete pavement in El Centro
