Pedro Rosales Gonzales, 45, has been sentenced to life in prison.

Gonzales was charged in the September 2021 murder of 55-year-old Frank Jose Contreras. Contreras had been shot and was found dead in his home. Imperial Police Detective Eladio Reyes was the lead investigator for the case. Reyes and his team used cell phone data and surveillance video as part of their investigation. Gonzales has been in custody since his arraignment in 2025.
