(Teamsters Union Local 542 announces end of strike)....The Union says Transdev, operator of Imperial Valley Transit and the Teamsters local 542 have reached a mutually beneficial agreement to return to work.

They said concerns were addressed related to the working conditions, which led to the Unfair Labor Practice Strike. The Imperial County Transportation Commission announced that all Imperial Valley Transit services would resume Wednesday. They said the services provided by Transdev, Inc, including IV Transit fixed Route, IV Transit Access, IV Transit Ride Now, and IV Transit MedTrans all returned to their regular schedules. They said regular fare collection also resumed across all IV Transit services. The commission welcomed back the transit staff and they thanked the community for their patience and understanding.
