(County Supervisors meet Tuesday).... They will begin the meeting by adopting a resolution.
The resolution will honor Guadalupe Patricia Lizarraga on her retirement after 25 years of service to the County and the Imperial County Auditor-Controller Department. There will be another lengthy closed session. Afternoon session begins at 1 pm. On the Action agenda there will be a presentation on the Gateway of Americas. Leticia Plancarte-Garcia, Director of Behavioral Health will discuss several issues. The Board will discuss and possibly approve their 2026 meeting calendar. And the Board will discuss their meeting structure according to the Board of Supervisors Rules of Conduct. On the consent agenda the Proclamation of Local Emergency due to the Sweetpotato Whitefly will be extended. They will also approve agreements to award RFP for community engagement serices related to the Lithium Valley Specific Plan and Programmatic Environmental Impact Report. The Supervisors meeting will be held in the Board Chambers at the County Administration Center on Main Street in El Centro.
