Expect traffic delays in El Centro as maintenance work on Fourth Street and dams Avenue continues.

Caltrans contract crews work on the roadways is expected to continue for the next several weeks. A new wearing surface as well as roadway striping is underway. The City of El Centro is trying to coordinate with Caltrans to shift some of the work to nighttime hours to help reduce congestion but portions of the work must be done during daylight hours. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes during the project.
