(Power Coalition takes Christmas Joy to Niland)....They served nearly 200 residents with gifts, resources and hope.

Over the weekend, The Power Coalition in partnership with the Niland Chamber of Commerce brought holiday cheer to the north-end communities. They hosted nearly 200 residents, including more than 100 children, for a Christmas celebration filled with gifts, food, games, activities and essential community resources. The families enjoyed hot chocolate, music and arts and crafts, while the adults received information on healthy living and access to free air filters for households in need. The Power Coalition is comprised of Comite Civico del Valle, The Becoming Project, Our Roots Multicultural, and Access to Thrive. April Ochoa, who led the event, is the Community organizer for Comite Civico and the President of the Niland Chamber of Commerce.
