(Music Promoter agrees to launder drug money)....Hugo Lever had entered a guilty plea in San Diego.

The plea was for conspiracy to commit money laundering for accepting cash from a person believed to be a drug trafficker. It turns out it was a undercover federal agent Lever is reportedly the CEO of Calexico based DA Music Entertainment. Court documents say he met with the federal agent in 2029 at a restaurant in Del Mar. Lever was reportedly looking for investors to fund a music festival in Ensenada. The undercover agent described himself to Lever as a drug dealer, and the funds he would be receiving were from drug sales. Two months later, Lever met with another undercover agent in El Cajon. That agent gave Lever $100,000. Lever's co-defendant, Juan Gonzalez Fonseca, also entered a guilty plea. This week Lever was sentenced in San Diego Federal Court to 18 months in prison. The co-defendant was sentenced to time served.
