They have also retained the Wilmer Hale Team, including Rob Lehman the Firm's Republican government relations lead, to strengthen IID's Presence in Washington D.C., and on interstate water and federal energy issues. Beaudreau, who was the second highest ranking official at Interior from 2021-2023, is respected across party lines for his leadership on natural resource policy and his ability to forge bipartisan consensus. The engagements are expected to assist in protecting the IID's water rights and contributing to durable, collaborative solutions, not only for water issues, but power issues as well.
