A three-alarm fire destroyed the former Robinson Ford dealership buildings in Calexico.

The fire was reported at about 5:00 p.m. Wednesday and quickly elevated to three alarms. Calexico Fire was assisted by Brawley, El Centro and Holtville Departments as well as Imperial County Fire and Naval Air Facility equipment and personnel. Fire fighters remained on scene into the night. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
