The Imperial Irrigation District's 2025 Summer Internship Program has ended.
According to the IID, 38 college/university students participated in the program, assisting across the Water, Power, and Support Services departments. The district has had an internship program for most of the past 35 years, with an average of 30 students per summer. According to the IID, about 5 percent of the current District workforce has had an internship experience at the IID. Of the38 students this year, seven came from the Border Region Talent Pipeline K-16Collaborative, a vital link between education and the local workforce.
