(San Diego Sector Border Patrol)...They say narcotics smugglers have a new hiding place.

They say more and more smugglers are hiding their contraband in their car batteries. In recent months agents have intercepted multiple loads of drugs under the hood, in the vehicle batteries. The most recent was a Jeep Cherokee. Agents stopped the vehicle and in the search discovered 9.25 pounds of cocaine and 2.1 pounds of methamphetamine inside the battery. They say they have found over 32 pounds of Fentanyl hidden in a car battery.
