(The Gold Fire is just 15% contained)....That according to the Thursday morning update.

Imperial County sent a Strike Team to assist in the Gold Fire on Tuesday. The fire has now burned 1,079 acres in San Bernardino County The fire started August 4th north of Big Bear Lake. The terrain is steep, rugged and unstable. Officials say the progression of the fire has slowed, allowing firefighters to take more direct action. The Holcomb Valley Campground and Pinnacles Climbing area remain evacuated. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
