A program that paid jurors $100 per day has ended.

The pilot program, authorized by AB 1981, ended May 19, 2025. Juror pay in Imperial County ty will revert to the $15 per day with 34 cents per mile travel. The change comes with the Governor's May Revise budget. The money not spent by the AB 1981 pilot program will be used to offset the state's budget shortfall. Imperial County was one of several counties participating in the program.
