Yuma County Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a Thursday morning murder.

Deputies responded to the report of a domestic dispute at a residence in the 11-300 block of East Del Verde Drive at about 3:35 a.m. Thursday. Initial reports were that shots had been fired. On arrival, deputies found 38-year-old Anthony Morgan Herrera with an apparent gunshot wound. Herrera was unresponsive. Emergency responded pronounced the man deceased at the scene. Yuma County Sheriff's Office criminal Investigations Bureau has assumed the investigation.
