(County Board of Supervisors take action)....Last month the County CEO and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors were placed on administrative leave.

Assistant County Executive Officer Rebecca Terrazas Baxter was appointed to fill the CEO position on an interim basis. At the time, the Board said more information was forthcoming. This week CEO Miguel Figueroa and Clerk of the Board Blanca Acosta were on the closed session agenda. When the Supervisors came out of closed session it was revealed Figueroa and Acosta had been dismissed. No other details were revealed. County Counsel said the topic of replacement was touched on, but not in detail. Rebecca Terrazas Baxter remains the interim County Executive Officer until further notice.
