El Centro Police arrested a felon in possession of a firearm.

On Sunday morning officers made contact with an individual. During the contact officers conducted a safety pat-down for weapons. A replica Sig Saur M17 handgun was found tucked in the man's waistband. Officers also found live ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a dagger in his possession. A records check revealed the man was also a convicted felon. He was arrested and booked into imperial County Jail on a variety of weapons and drug charges.
