(Imperial Irrigation District Board of Directors met this week)....At their meeting the board approved additional funds.

They approved $10 million in additional funds for Customer Relief and and energy savings. In a unanimous vote, the Board approved the additional $10 million investment to enhance IID's public benefits programs, ensuring relief for vulnerable customers and long-term energy savings for all. The additional funds increase the previously allocated budget of $9.93 million in 2025, resulting in a total of nearly $20 million now available.. The additional funds allow for $5 million to be added to bill paying assistance, and another $5 million toward energy efficiency programs that will lower energy consumption and reduce costs for homes, schools and communities.
