The District is inviting cities, counties, special districts, nonprofits and community organizations to apply for funding through its Public Green Space Grant Program. It is a key initiative aimed at reducing urban heat, lowering temperatures, and beautifying local neighborhoods through tree planting. The initiative is in its second year. It is part of the Imperial Irrigation District's 2025 Tree for All program and offers a total of $525,000 in grant funding, with individual awards of up to $35,000. Applications are currently being accepted., and they must be submitted by May 5th. Funded projects must be completed by December 5th.
