A Brawley man has been appointed to the Commission on Correctional Peace Officer Standards and Training.
Governor Gavin Newsom named Christopher Gondor to the state board. Gondor is a Correctional Officer Officer at the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation since 2016. He is Vice President of the California Correctional Peace Officers Association, Calipatria Chapter, and President of the Chicano Correctional Workers Association, Calipatria Chapter. The position does not require Senate confirmation and there is no compensation.
