It will be held in the El Centro City Council Chambers Courtyard at 5 pm. The City Council will recognize outgoing Mayor Sylvia Marroquin. They will acknowledge the departure of the Mayor Por Tem Martha Cardenas-Singh and Councilman Edgard Garcia. Newly elected council members Claudia M. Camarena and John Ellet will be sworn into office. It is expected Council member Tomas Oliva will be named the new Mayor for 2025. Sonia Carter is expected to be named Mayor Pro Tem. There will be a reception following the ceremonies.
