Several law enforcement agencies were involved in a vehicle pursuit Wednesday.

The pursuit started at about 10:43 a.m. when El Centro Police located a vehicle reported stolen from the area of Dogwood and Commercial Streets. As the pursuit began, the vehicle struck an El Centro Police car. The pursuit continued with El Centro Police and California Highway Patrol cars as well as a CHP aircraft based out of Thermal that was able to follow the vehicle and call in information to the ground units. A police car was able to get in front of the stolen vehicle and deploy a spike strip, disabling he vehicle. Other units then performed a pit maneuver to stop the vehicle and arrest the driver. Among the charges the suspect is facing is Battery on a Peace Officer.
