(El Centro Celebrates this Friday and Saturday)...The El Centro Christmas Tree Lighting and Street Fair.

The theme is Rockin Santa. The location has moved, however. With the new El Centro Police Station under construction, the event has moved to the El Centro Fire Station Number 3, 1910 North Waterman Avenue. The event runs from 5-9 pm and features a diverse lineup of community events, including a visit from Santa. The following day, Saturday, El Centro will host their annual Christmas Parade. The event kicks off at 10 am on Main Street and travels to 8th Street and travels south to Bucklin Park. The Parade ends with Santa expected to be riding in am El Centro Fire Truck.
