Imperial Valley College has received permission to expand their nursing program.
The California Board of Registered Nursing has approved IVC's request to expand their Registered Nurse program from 80 to 150 students per year. The approval comes as a result of three years of preparation by the IVC nursing program. The expansion will allow IVC to admit more eligible students and address the growing need for healthcare workers in the region. The expansion will begin in spring of 2025, with 20 additional students joining the program, and further growth planned for fall 2025. The award winning IVC nursing program began in 1963 with the first LVN graduates completing their studies in 1964. The RN program was established in 1970, with the first graduating class in 1973.
