A Monday morning fire resulted in a firefighter being injured and two mobile homes damaged.

The fire was reported initially at 11:00 a.m. Monday indicating that some oleanders were burning in the 2100 block of West 3rd Street in Yuma. Arriving firefighters found a large fire burning outside two mobile homes. A second alarm was issued, and neighboring residences were evacuated. Complicating efforts to combat the blaze was that two mobile homes were in two separate parks and separated by a fence. The fire was limited to the two mobile homes and there were no civilian injuries, but one firefighter was transported from the scene due to medical concerns. Cause of the fire remains under investigation.
