El Centro Elementary School District and the El Centro Police Department unite. It is in the name of school safety. In a collaborative effort to enhance the safety of the schools and community, the districts are joining with El Centro Police Department to launch a new initiative aimed at educating students and parents about the serious consequences of posting and sharing fake threats or harmful messages online. The Campaign, Making School Threats Is No Joke, emphasizes that, whether intended as a joke or not, all threats of any kind of school violence are taken seriously. The repercussions of sharing harmful information can have serious consequences not only for the individual but also impact the entire community.
