It didn't take long for a stolen tractor to be recovered.
On Tuesday North County deputies responded to the report of a possible burglary at a residence on Highway 111 near Niland. A representative of the imperial County Public Administrator's Office told deputies that the residence appeared to have been burglarized. Deputies followed tire impressions to a neighboring property at Luna and Nieto Roads. There they found the stolen tractor crudely covered by a tarp. It appeared that the tractor was being painted a different color. Three individuals were detained and taken in for questioning. It was determined that one of the detained individuals had stolen the tractor. That individual was arrested and booked into Imperial County Jail. A second suspect involved in the theft remains at large.
