An Ocotillo man has been convicted of assaulting his neighbor.

On August 3, 2023, Martin McDonald became upset about his 68-year-old neighbor playing music. McDonald went to the neighbors house and assaulted him. The victim was struck in the face, hand and head and was also choked. The victim suffered severe lacerations, bruising and a broken finger. McDonald was convicted for Felony Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Personally Inflicting Great Bodily Injury. McDonald will be sentenced on October 8, 2024. He faces up to 7 years in prison.
