U. S. Customs and Border Protection officers seized approximately 120 pounds of blue fentanyl pills last week.

The seizure occurred at the Calexico East Port of Entry when a 27-year-old woman in the border crossings SENTRI lanes was sent to secondary inspection. In secondary inspection, CBP officers used non-intrusive technology to screen the car. This revealed anomalies. A CBP K-9 team also alerted to the vehicle. Officers located a total of 82 packages concealed in the car's doors, quarter panels, spare tire, and firewall. The packages contained nearly 120 pounds of fentanyl pills. The woman driver was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
