(San Diego and Imperial County Community Colleges)....They are promoting civic engagement in this election year.

With the election year in full swing, the Community Colleges are rolling out a variety of civic engagement activities to encourage students to exercise their voting rights. Imperial Valley College's Associated Government is leading several initiatives to engage students in the voting process. The College is celebrating Constitution Day today at the college center. Students have the opportunity to register to vote and receive pocket constitutions to learn more about their voter rights. On October 2nd, ASG will host a Civic Engagement event featuring a voter registration drom from 11:30 am to 1 pm, with food and refreshments available to the first 100 participants. The election season will culminate with an Election Watch Party on November 5th from 8 am to 5 pm in the College Center, where students will watch live election coverage and enjoy snacks throughout the day.
