A Tuesday afternoon traffic accident left a man in Intensive Care and his Service Dog missing.

The accident happened at about 2:445 p.m. Tuesday on Interstate about 2 miles west of Dunaway Road. A truck went out of control and rolled over. The driver sustained serious injuries and is in a San Diego hospital in Intensive Care. The man's service dog, a Jack Russell terrier named Morty, took off into the desert and hasn't been seen since. The man and his family are asking for help in locating Morty. He was last seen in the area of Interstate 8 and Dunaway Road. He is wearing a Chargers collar.
