The Imperial Valley is due for a change in the weather.

According to the National Weather Service (NWS), while an Excessive heat Warning is in effect until Tuesday night, we should see temperatures returning to normal by midweek. NWS says that drier air will spread through the region with high pressure dominant, helping to keep temperatures above normal for the first part of the week. A pattern change will take place starting Wednesday as a weather system slowly moves across the western United States. The system will bring breezy conditions Wednesday followed by noticeably cooler temperatures by Friday and into the weekend. The extended forecast shows a high expected about 100 beginning Thursday. Overnight lows will be in the low seventies.
