(Migrant deaths in the Calexico area are down)....This according to information provided by the Mexican Consulate in Calexico.

They say 4 deaths have been reported this year. That is down from 9 reported during the same period last year. Of the 4 deaths, three drowned in the Al American Canal. The fourth died as a result of a fractured skull after falling from the border fence. They say the decrease could be connected to the decrease in border crossers.
