(County Board of Supervisors met Tuesday)....There was only one action item on the agenda.

On the consent agenda, the board approved a $1,000 contribution to Womanhaven for the 7th Annual Garden of Hope Mariposa Gala. Also un der the consent agenda, the board approved a $1,000 in support of the Calexico Wellness Center. The board also approved over $8,000 for the replacement and installation of an Air conditioning unit for the Bombay Beach Community Services District. Also under the consent agenda, the Supervisors approved an agreement with the Imperial County Children and Families Commission for the Raise a Reader  project for fiscal year 2024-2025. The agreement allocates up to $183,775 from the County Library's budget to support this initiative, which aims to promote early literacy and foster a love of reading among young children in Imperial County.
