Two would-be shoplifters tried to walk out of a store with a shopping cart full of merchandise.

According to Calexico police, the shoplifters thought they could just walk out of the store without paying for the merchandise. The stores loss prevention department notified police and officers were able to locate one of the suspects nearby. Apparently, his escape was hindered by the big screen TV he was carrying. The second suspect was able to evade capture. Luis Hernandez, 28, was booked into Imperial County Jail for Theft. The stolen goods were returned to the store.
