(Two residential fires)....Both were reported in Yuma.

The first fire was an apartment fire Thursday evening. Fire crews responded to a call from the 1000 block of South 6th Avenue. Firefighters arrived and found a pair of duplex's. They saw smoke coming from one of the units. Crews located the fire in the bedroom of the unit. It was extinguished for e it could spread. Residents from both had evacuated safely. At just after midnight Friday, another residential fire was reported. The house fire was reported in the 1900 block of West 20tth Lane. This fire was also located in the bedroom. The fire was quickly extinguished and not allowed to spread. The residents had evacuated safely. Fire officials say neither residence had a working fire alarm
