Brawley City Manager Tyler Salcido is leaving.

Salcido has accepted the position of Executive Director of the Imperial County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO). The Brawley City Council held a special meeting Tuesday afternoon and following the meeting announced that Chief of Police Jimmy Duran has agreed in principle to serve a interim City Manager. Duron will continue to serve as Chief of Police as he serves as interim City Manager. The Council expects to ratify a contract with Duran at the August 6 Regular Council meeting.
