An early morning accident blocked a section of State Route 86 Saturday.

The accident was reported at 2:24 a.m. on State Route 86 by Brawley Avenue near Salton City. The vehicle went out of control and hit the guard rail. There were no injuries but both northbound lanes of the highway were blocked while the vehicle was recovered.
