(CBP New Dog importation requirement change in August).....Customs and Border Protection are changing the requirements based on a recent CDC report.

The new regulations go into effect on August 1st. To read the entire CDC report go to cdc.gov/dog travel. According to the new regulations, one of the following documents required for the dog to enter the US. Any documentation that is not from the United States must be from the country where the dog's travel originates. Certification of Foreign Rabies Vaccination and Microchip, Certification of US issued Rabies Vaccination. Valid USDA endorsed export health certificate. Certification of Dog Arriving from DRVV or low risk country.
