A truck hit a house and then slammed into a second house.

Yuma Fire Department responded to the call at about 5:30 p.m. Monday. A full-size truck ran off the road in the 1900 block of Avenue A and struck a home and then hit a second house before coming to a complete stop. The driver received minor injuries. None of the occupants of the houses were injured. The Yuma Fire Technical Rescue Team, in conjunction with the City of Yuma Building a Safety Engineers, evaluated the damage to the homes and identified areas that required additional structural support. The Technical Rescue Team shored up the structures to ensure stability and the occupants were able to go back to their homes.
