A car and a motorcycle collided Monday afternoon.

The accident occurred shortly before 2:00 p.m. on State Route 115 and Towland Road, just east of Holtville. The motorcycle rider was flown from the scene to an out of county hospital for treatment of injuries sustained in the crash. The highway was blocked for a time to allow Mercy Air Ambulance to land and evacuate the patient. the accident remains under investigation.
