While it will remain hot, the National Weather Service (NWS) says the Excessive Heat Warnings for the Imperial Valley end Sunday.

Looking ahead, temperatures will remain above normal trough the week. Elevated humidity will create Heat Index Values that will make it feel about 5 degrees warmer than indicated. 

Saturday and Sunday mornings both saw scattered showers throughout the Imperial Valley with heavier precipitation primarily in the eastern portion of the county. The chance for brief shower activity will be possible. Strong winds may accompany any shower.
