(US Bureau of Labor Statistics releases a report)....It is the Occupational Employment and Wages in the El Centro area.

Technically, it is for the El Centro Metropolitan Statistical area, which is pretty much all of Imperial County. The information was gathered in May of last year. According to the report the average, or mean, hourly wage of $28.64, compared to the nationwide average of $31.48, according to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. Management occupations in the area were highest paid at $57.911 per hour, followed by Healthcare practitioners and technical occupations at $53.36 per hour. Healthcare support occupations accounted for 12.6% of local employment, compared to 4.7% nationally. Among individual occupations, home health and personal care aides was the most common job in the area with 6,640 workers.
