A man suspected of setting a haystack fire has been arrested.

On Wednesday morning, at about 6:00 a.m., Imperial County Sheriff's deputes responded to the area of Cole and Bowker Roads near Calexico to investigate a haystack fire that had occurred in the area. The Imperial County Agriculture Crimes investigators were called out and developed evidence that linked the fire to Robert Lee Law, 47, a transient from Phoenix, Arizona. Law was located, arrested, and booked into Imperial County Jail charged with Arson and Possession of a Dirk or Dagger. Bail was set at $35,000. ICSO investigators are looking to determine if Law was involved in additional arson fires in the area.
