(Recognizing Real Heroes in San Diego and Imperial Counties)...It happens in September.

The deadline to submit nominations is July 19. The event is hosted by the American Red Cross of San Diego and Imperial Counties. It is an opportunity to recognize and honor Hometown Heroes.  The event is held aboard the USS Midway in San Diego. Heroes will be recognized in 8 categories. Animal Welfare, Corporate, Disaster Services, First Responder, Gift of Life, Good Samaritans, Service to the Armed Services and Youth Hero. To submit a nomination in any of the categories, go to redcross.org/sandiego/realheroes. Remember, nominations are due by Friday July 19.
