(Transit fees being reinstated)....Imperial Valley Transit will reinstate fees on Monday.

During the pandemic, IV Transit obtained four grants totaling $1.5 million. Those funds were used to cover operational costs, and allowed for free Transportation. The Imperial County Transportation Commission has approved a proposal to eliminate the free fare program. Beginning Monday, users will pay a dollar for local IV Transit service, $1.25 for regional service and IVC Express for students, $1.75 for IVC Express service for non-students, $2,25 for fast trip services and $2.50 for direct services.
