(MANA holding their Summer Community Service Project)...It began June 7th and will continue until June 28th.

They are collecting funds to purchase bottled water. The water will be delivered to the various Cool Centers and Hydration Stations. They are requesting monetary donations due to the bulkiness of cases of water. To donate call Carla Ramos at 760-847-2345, or you can donate straight through Venmo or Zelle. So far there have been no heat related deaths, but there have been cases of heat exhaustion, heat fatigue or dehydration reported. Last year 22 heat related deaths were reported.
