The National Weather Service (NWS) says expect temperatures to climb this week.
While temperatures will climb, NWS says the Major Heat Risk warning has been lifted as the outlook is for a coupe of degrees lower than were previously projected. Elevated moisture will be evident with a 30 percent threat of thunderstorms Sunday into Sunday night. Temperatures in the coming week will average near to slightly above normal before increasing some through the middle of next week aa high pressure strengthens over the region. Highs on Monday are forecast at 111 degrees and increasing to 113 by Wednesday and Thursday. Overnight lows are expected in the mid-80's. Winds will be light.
